With talk of Christmas flying around the office we thought we’d take a look back at the first interactive video BRADLEY.TV ever made. It was part of an XFactor Xmas Number One promotional campaign for Bauer Media.

The concept was simple. We got pop stars to hold up a CD (yes a CD! They were still popular in 2011) and congratulate the user on being the artist who’d made it to the Christmas number one slot in the charts. The CD we used contained blue screen material and had tracking points printed on it. This enabled us to make the video interactive later on in post production. Back then the technology we had to use to make it work was Adobe Flash.

We do it a much more efficient way these days. Every video was different after listeners were invited to upload their photos to their local radio station website and our Flash software engine superimposed their faces into the sequence then rendered the final sequence almost immediately.

XFACTOR XMAS NUMBER ONE VIDEO – PRE-RENDER VERSION

Listeners to the Bauer Media radio stations were invited by DJ’s across the country to upload their photo to a dedicated page on their radio stations website and within seconds we had generated a personalised video for them. The listener starred in their own video and was able to post it to their Facebook page. We achieved the speed by cutting the video in two halves and only having the interactive element in the second half. While the first half was streaming in the second half was rendering so the experience was seamless.

Bauer Media Group which owns more than eighty influential media brands spanning a wide range of interests, including Heat, GRAZIA, Closer, MCN, FHM, Parker’s, MATCH, Magic 105.4, Kiss 100, Kerrang!, Q and the Big City Network, plus twenty local radio stations.

Users visiting their sites were able to add their own name, upload their own photo and watch themselves being hailed as the next big thing in the music industry and get crowned the UK’s Christmas Number One by pop stars such as Pixie Lott, Olly Murs, The Saturdays, Eliza Dolittle, The Wanted, Duffie, Joe McElderry and Scouting for Girls.

We were one of the first people to launch a main stream interactive video of such complexity and it clocked up hundreds of thousands of views.

The campaign was nominated for a Sony Radio Academy Award.

Back in the day we all thought we’d get rich making music videos! It was a great idea and amazing fun but the harsh reality is that making money out of producing music videos is a very tough call.

From memory we stopped promoting the service in 2010 after several years of flogging a dead horse. It wasn’t that we were hopeless at it (far from the contrary!) or that we weren’t getting any enquiries for music videos; It was simply that we couldn’t ever make any real money out of it.

We tried everything… talking to bands, record companies, radio stations, PR, advertising, competitions you name it. And we weren’t short of enquiries either. At one point we were fielding an enquiry a day from ‘the next big thing’ and they all wanted professionally shot music videos. The problem was none of them had any money which in a way is kind of sad because some of them had potential and most of them were really cool people.

Typically the call went like this:

BAND: “Hey, you guys make really cool videos and we want one for our band. We’re called Furious Fish Fingers!”

US: “Whooohoooo. What’s your production budget?”

BAND: “It’s huge. We want to shoot it on top of a mountain and we’ll get there on the back of elephants! Big grey ones.”

US: “Oh yeah? What’s your production budget?”

BAND: “Man, we’re gonna kill this. It’s our debut. We need loads of hot girls too. In spandex.”

US: “Like Olivia Newton-John? What’s your production budget?”

BAND: “Film us flying off on a magic carpet at the end! With the girls!”

US: “What’s your production budget?”

BAND: “It’s a number one if I’ve ever heard on. Let me hum it to you down the phone.”

US: “Production budget?”

BAND: “And another thing…”

US: “BUDGET?”

BAND: “Huh?”

US: “Goodbye.”

And so it went on. From offers of free tickets to £200 and a crate of Stella Artois. No one had any money.

One route we experimented with artist collaboration and other directors / producers from around the world. We had things going on in France, India, Florida, Dubai and Italy but guess what! They all said the same thing… We love this but we’re never going to get rich!

So one day in 2010 we stopped offering music videos as a service and stuck the current showreel on the shelf where it remained until now!

Are we making a comeback you ask? No. Absolutely bloody not.

FAST LANE PEZZO

Ironically a couple of years after we put a stop to it all we did two more music videos that were both a great success. We made one for FAST LANE [REAL] in return for some website work [Pezzo is a first class code monkey] and another one for ANNIE KHALID [BE MY BABY] which had a half decent budget and made it to Number One in the charts in about six countries. Funny that.

Any way, enough anecdotes about music videos. Let’s get back to making some money.

VIDEO TESTIMONIALS – WHY ARE THEY SO IMPORTANT?

Video testimonials are becoming more and more popular with our clients as businesses recognise the huge, positive impact they deliver.
We like to think of them as the digital equivalent of the traditional word-of-mouth recommendation. Video testimonials are now an essential weapon in any self-respecting marketing toolkit. The massive advantage over word-of-mouth is that they can be easily distributed on-mass, the message can be controlled and they last forever.

PRACTICING WHAT WE PREACH

Here at BRADLEY.TV we have been producing video testimonials for our clients for years. Recently we decided it was about time we followed our own advice and put into practice what we had been preaching. Thankfully our clients were only too happy to oblige so we put one of our film crews to work. Rather than doing anything prescriptive we simply let the customer talk. Our producers kicked things off by asking one thing…
“Tell us what you think about BRADLEY.TV

The first video testimonial we produced was with Michael Evans, The Group Communications Director for Greencore PLC. Michael very kindly gave a direct and honest appraisal of the video production service we provide to his business throughout the UK. His video testimonial was sent by VIDEOTXT to all our staff which made us all feel very proud. Everyone within our organisation watched it and gave it a resounding 10/10.

CREATING SHOWREELS  ›  WHY PRODUCING YOUR OWN IS SO TRICKY

BRADLEY.TV have a decade of experience CREATING SHOWREELS for ourselves, our various VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICES, clients, advertising agencies, creative agencies, pr agencies and even other video production companies. It never fails to amaze us how tricky it can be to get it right. We suspect it’s a bit like asking the question “why are painter and decorator’s houses never painted and decorated well?” Of course, that is a generalisation but you get the drift… sometimes doing the thing you are best can be the hardest thing to do well for yourself. Hopefully we can help by sharing some “creating showreels tips, tricks and hacks”. Enjoy!

DON’T STRESS  ›  THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT SHOWREEL

The purpose of any showreel is to impress and engage your client / audience to such an extent that they hire you or tell people about your skills. Like anything in the creative world there is no such thing as a perfect showreel. Once you realise this it takes the pressure away from the editors. Every showreel is subjective. One viewer may scream out “that’s the best showreel I’ve ever seen” [and we do hear that!] and another person may sit there passive and looking unimpressed. You can’t win them all! Fear not, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go about creating showreels that are perfect for you, your business, your brand or your reputation. Just do it.

WHERE SHOULD I BEGIN WHEN CREATING SHOWREELS?

A great place to start is to pull all your footage together in one central place. We tend to do this offline and onto a dedicated Mac Pro or Firewire hard drive. Take your time and get your hands on it all even if this means going back in time to your old DV tapes. Check all your storage, cross reference your on-line storage [we always use VIDEOCLOUD.COM for this] and never forget about the current projects you are working on. Don’t be afraid to select older shots or clips you have used before. If they make the grade then take them with you. By now you should have a huge ‘master folder’ with lots of video content and the fun can begin. Next, do a rough timeline calculation. Work out how many hours / minutes / seconds of video you actually have. Ask yourself a question… how long do you want your showreel to be. If your not sure these are the rules that work for us when we are creating showreels;

›  Less is more
›  45 seconds is never enough
›  60 seconds is perfect if you are using music with high beats per minute
›  75 seconds is perfect if you are using music with medium beats per minute
›  90 seconds is perfect if you are using music with slow beats per minute
›  120 seconds only if you have to
›  180 seconds is always too much

Now do a rough calculation. If you have approximately X number of clips and you want your showreel to be approximately Y seconds long you can probably start to gauge that you will ultimately be using approximately Z number of shots. Keep the maths as loose as this for now.

SHOT SELECTION

Don’t delete any clips from your master folder yet. Begin sorting into order of importance and quality. We do this by numbering the clips 0001_ , 0002_ , 0003 etc. You can also label or colour code them into sections or chapters depending on the purpose of your finished showreel.

CREATING VIDEO SHOWREELS

CHECK OUT ALL OF OUR SHOWREELS, ALL IN ONE PLACE

TRIM THE EXCESS

Starting at the top work your way down the list trimming the clips tight but not ‘to the bone’. Leave handles [a second or two either side of the clip] so you have plenty of scope when you get to the final cut. Now re-asses the maths, check the number of clips again [you may have deleted a few during the trimming process], the overall runtime and ask yourself are you still good with the run-time you had estimated? The jigsaw is starting to come together!

QUEUE THE MUSIC

Experience helps here and often we will already know the track or the kind of track we are going to use. Whilst creating showreels without music is possible silent showreels never seems to make the grade in our world. If we are still unsure about the actual track we will commit to the ‘pace’ of the showreel at this point in the process. So, if we are going for a 100 beats per minute track we will lay down a generic 100bpm beat as guide audio which is used to cut to. Once the final decision is made on the track you will be using you can easily substitute the actual piece for the guide.

IT’S TIME FOR THE TIMELINE

All video editing software is built around the timeline. Drop the music track in first and lock it down. Move to the right of this and import all your chosen clips. This allows you to start the positioning process. Grab a clip of your choice on the right and move it to the appropriate position above the music on the left. The editing process has begun. A professionally cut finished timeline always looks like a work of art. You can see the ebbs and flows, the rhythm of the music, the highlights and the fades. Positing the clips intelligently too. Fast moving shots work well when the beat is ‘on the up’. Slower or more considered shots work best when pace dips. Be creative too… listen to what the music [or vocals] are telling you and see if you can match shots to this unspoken language. You just know when the perfect shot lands on the perfect beat. It’s what makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It’s also worth mentioning that there is no hard and fast rules here, for example you don’t have to cut to the beat [and often you can evoke more interest by not doing that] but one golden rule we always try and stick to is this… if you watch a clip back and it ‘jars’ with you then delete it. Don’t try and force the process. It either works or it doesn’t! As your timeline comes together don’t worry if clips are stacking on top of each other or over lapping. We fix this last.

THE FINAL POLISH

Take your time. The purpose of this stage when you are creating showreels is to make the timeline as perfect as you can. Be ruthless and cut, cut, cut. Keep a degree of symmetry to what you do. A short video like a showreel doesn’t afford you the luxury to introduce complex viewing patterns. Your client will just look at you with a very confused look if you do! Move, swap, re-position, twist, stick, invert… whatever you like to make it ‘WORK’. It has to work. Keep going, you will know when it is right. Typically our editors will spend two full days editing when creating showreels of around 60 seconds. When you are happy with the timeline consider a colour grade or adding your branding, typography, motion graphics or audio engineering. Whatever is appropriate to your final goals.

THE FINAL PIECE OF THE JIGSAW

So, you’ve created your masterpiece, saved the final project [please do this now if you haven’t already!] and output to the master file format of your choice. We tend to use HD MP4 files for this. What should you do with it next. Simple… distribute it. We usually do the following; Put it on our WEBSITE, mention it on our social media accounts [TWITTER and INSTAGRAM], mention it on LINKEDIN and promote it through other traditional marketing channels. All this can make a difference and win you new business but we also have a secret weapon! It always works…

VIDEOTXT IT TO YOUR AUDIENCE

Without fail whenever we are creating showreels we upload this finished masterpiece to our VIDEOCLOUD account, create a VIDEOTXT [PUSH] AND [PULL] CAMPAIGN then send it directly to the mobile phone of the client or prospective clients we want to see it. BINGO!
They ALWAYS watch it! Ask yourself… when was the last time you didn’t open an SMS?

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY “NATIONAL REACH LOCAL FOCUS”?

Ahhhh… the million dollar question. Literally.

The second biggest challenge we have faced since this business was founded has been in achieving national reach local focus. By this we mean being able to offer the same level of creativity service and attention to detail to global brands as we did from day one to our local clients. In other words how could we maintain the best possible video production service nationwide without ever missing a beat. The truth is that it wasn’t easy.

REGIONAL VIDEO PRODUCTION

SO, HOW DID WE DO IT?

Basically we started small but always harboured huge ambition. The Directors of the company set down some core principles that we have stuck too religiously and it has paid off making us the UK’s market leaders in corporate video production. Over since 2007 we have grown out of all recognition as an organisation but the fundamentals remain the same. Our ground rules for national reach local focus include;

ORIGINAL IDEAS [Our creative is world class and we never copy from competitors]
LATEST EQUIPMENT [We always buy the latest and greatest in video production kit]
SELF CONTAINED [All our staff and equipment are in-house and we rarely use freelancers]
RAPID RESPONSE [We offer same day quotes, shoots, edits and fast project turnarounds]
ORGANIC GROWTH [We ploughed all the profits back into the business year after year]
SELF FINANCING [We remain cash positive at all times with no borrowing or credit]
TECHNOLOGY FOCUSED [Our group, BRADLEY INC, built VIDEOCLOUD.COM and invented VIDEOTXT]
RESULTS DRIVEN [Time after time we provide an unrivalled return on investment for clients]
UNBEATABLE VALUE [London quality, Northern prices. We offer a unique PRICE MATCH POLICY]

NATIONAL REACH LOCAL FOCUS

WHAT BENEFITS DOES THIS BRING TO OUR CLIENTS?

In a word LOTS. In another word, SUCCESS. With BRADLEY.TV you are in safe hands. Our clients enjoy a genuine full service experience at the right price. In a historically disparate industry you won’t be wondering about things like; “Do they actually have their own studios or are they really working from home?”, “Will I be dealing with the same creatives and crew on my next job or will they have moved onto another freelance project?” or “Is this idea original or will I find out in a few months time they pinched it of somebody else?”. It’s important stuff.

It also means that on a nationwide basis we can deliver local knowledge and expertise at speed and at the right price. With an unrivalled track record of 350+ clients and 3,500+ successful projects under our belt we know the formula works. It makes us proud to continue represent all our original local customers as well as global brands such as Price Waterhouse, BP, Ladbrokes, Boots, BBC Worldwide, M&C Saatchi to name a few.

DELIVERING NATIONAL REACH LOCAL FOCUS

LOCAL VIDEO PRODUCTION

From a logistical point of view nationwide coverage is also hard to perfect. We did it by initially providing coverage in key client cities and counties in England. We then moved to support in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eire… picking up many new clients along the way. We drove it all from out long-established headquarters and TV Studios in Leeds which just happened to be geographically located in the very centre of the UK!
We didn’t plan that bit 🙂

A post dedicated to photos and videos of the BRADLEY.TV film crews at work…

It’s rare we ever bother to pick this stuff up ourselves. Sometimes clients, actors or even passers by step in and snap something interesting the film crews are doing. As a rule we stick strictly to the blind side of the lens but it’s always fun to look back at some of the things our film crews got up to over the years!

This was a fabulous behind the scenes project to work on. BRADLEY.TV were commissioned by BBC Worldwide to shoot some exclusive footage at St Paul’s Cathedral for an Inside Out programme. Not only did they let us loose with the Red One and a steadicam in this magnificent Baroque church [designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1673] we gained access to areas that the public never see and had never been filmed before. We spent a day at the iconic building, a day filming the surrounding area and also provided some stunning aerial footage leading up from the Thames.

BRIEF
BRADLEY.TV
was delighted to have been selected by BBC Worldwide to create an iconic series of 30 short films at London landmarks as a precursor to the 2012 Olympics and for ongoing use in programme creation and general broadcast.

CREATIVE
The client wanted viewers to feel like they were actually there and to show London in a new way. The footage had to have an international appeal and be suitable for edit with the BBC’s own content at a later stage.

SOLUTION
Locations were shot on RED ONE and steadicam to give that ‘you’re actually there’ feel. We also used aerial footage and crash zooms to get us in and out of the points of interest.

RESULT
All footage was supplied to the client on time and on budget and we received the follwing testimonial; “Over the past 5 years I have found BRADLEY.TV to be a highly creative, passionate, cost-effective and reliable TV and video production company.” Paul Maidment, MD, BBC Worldwide.

BEHIND THE SCENES

The RED ONE is pure digital cinema, shooting incredible 4K quality. It utilises an S35mm image plane and displays a natural depth of field from 2K to 4.5K resolutions. You can seize every moment with the ability to capture anywhere from 1-120 fps onto high-speed RED CF or SSD media. When you combine this kind of horsepower with a steadicam expert like Doug and a director with a keen creative eye you quite literally hold Hollywood in your hands. Just watch out for the insane file sizes and extended post-production processing time.

This is only one of many behind the scenes shoots we have been commissioned to do over the years. Others assignments include BBC Motion Gallery sports, nature and transport content, fashion and lifestyle events, news footage and some simply stunning aerial content. Notable event content and coverage that we have been involved with includes two World Cups, the 2012 Olympics, The European Championships, major horse races [Cheltenham, St. Ledger, Ascot], The World Darts Championship, The Scottish League and The Tour de France. We have also enjoyed filming behind the scenes content for several Hollywood productions in the UK, stock content for many of the worlds leading archives [including National Geographic and Thought Equity] as well as domestic TV shows, documentaries, news bulletins and music festivals.

SETTING THE SCENE FOR SPECTRE

We had a riot working on the The Randox corporate video. It was scripted, cast and planned from our HQ in Leeds. Filming took place all over the world. Our location scouts really delivered managing to pick four separate locations which were subsequently used in the latest James Bond film, Spectre. We even managed to close down the offices of The Mayor Of London for a day.

BRADLEY.TV produced an interactive video in the style of a cinematic movie trailer for the American life sciences company, Life Technologies / Thermofisher. The press described it as “an interactive web film with a sci-fi twist”. We pulled data from the viewers Facebook account and populated the blank spaces in the video with their photos and friends photos alongside their public personal information to create a truly immersive, interactive and engaging video experience.

Creativity Online posted this awesome quote: “It’s not often that you see something creative coming out of a life sciences company, but Life Technologies are out to change that. A little while ago, they released a series of hyper-cute animated web films featuring the secret lives of cells, undoubtedly a nightmare for any cell biologist. Now, they’re back with an interactive video that like a recent Linkin Park project, lets you link up with Facebook data to create a personalized video. The setting is a mysterious sci-fi movie, where all your friends go missing and was produced by UK based video production experts, BRADLEY.TV

What do you do with 96 glass windows that you know you’re going to have to replace soon?

In 2008 that’s precisely the question we asked ourselves. We’d just moved into the very front part of the ground floor of Monarch House and were sat on orange boxes staring at these large panes of glass. The swanky new windows were at least 18 months away so we thought about it for a bit and decided to play window wordsearch.

Here’s the artwork!

WINDOW WORDSEARCH LEEDS

Our good friend Tony from CEEJAYS UK in York printed them out for us and fitted them one sunny afternoon. Within minutes we had cars stopping, people taking photos and a reporter on the phone. Our response was “There’s no story here, just some dumb ass stickers.” Over the years we had royalty stop and look (Princess Margaret), the local MP knock on the door and tell us they loved the idea, students pop in and ask us if they could pinch the idea and one lovely old lady who just wanted to know what it actually all meant. A wedding photographer from Luton once called us to say he’d been in Leeds at the weekend, seen our ‘glass-masterpiece’ and wondered if he could copy our tag line “YOU SHOULD BE SHOT”. The answer to that was of course NO! It all sounds great, it was clever advertising and it generated us some unique enquiries but the reality was those windows were noisy, drafty, difficult to open and impossible to clean. Don’t do it!

A year or two later somebody shot some panoramics in the production office and you can see the Window Wordsearch from the inside!

Thankfully our big glass puzzle went the journey and we now have four huge stunning double glazed panes.
We could always print a massive four letter word beginning with F and ruin these windows too. You know… FILM.

USING DRONE FOOTAGE TO PROMOTE THE PROPERTY SECTOR

We have a lot of clients in the property, hotel, tourist and accommodation and development sectors. The thing they all have in common is the need to promote their buildings, complexes, communities and estates. Alongside all our regular video production techniques and equipment we also have aerial filming in our armoury. There are several categories of AERIAL FILMING services that we provide; The entry level and most cost effective options is when we use drones.

Drone filming gets us in the sky and enables us a lot more freedom from the directors point of view. We can show of property off at it’s best with fly-by, panning, overhead, crash-zoom and wide, epic and hover shots. We can pick of specific detail of a building that may be unique or important to the client as well as showing off the location and surrounding areas. Drone footage property sector gives us grace, pace, scale and speed… and it’s a lot cheaper to do than you imagine. Typically we are shooting gyro enabled mid-range with Sony F7 or RED Scarlet cameras. As a rule we avoid using DSLR cameras.

DRONE FOOTAGE PROPERTY SECTOR

WHAT DO WE DO WHEN DRONE FOOTAGE PROPERTY SECTOR DOESN’T QUITE MAKE THE GRADE?”

Simple. We bring out the big guns. BRADLEY.TV has filmed over 100 hours of HD aerial footage from the helicopter. It can be expensive but you are getting the same full-on cinematic killer shots you’d see in a Hollywood feature film. With almost £5M worth of equipment at your disposal plus pilot, aerial cameraman, aerial film director, Cineflex gyrostabilized systems and an ALEXA camera with choice of lens your guaranteed to get the ultimate property sector footage.

HELICOPTER FILMING

We have filmed many property landmarks this way including The Shard, Houses of Parliament, The Gherkin, and The London Eye.
The footage is of such high quality we can do unbelievable things with it in post-production.

DRONE FOOTAGE PROPERTY SECTOR

For a BBC Worldwide production we created a shot where we flew the length of the thames and crash zoomed into St Paul’s Cathedral and literally ended the shot at the alter. Check out our aerial filming showreel below or watch some videos in the AERIAL SECTION of our portfolio.

CONTACT us today with your drone footage property sector enquiry or for more information about our helicopter aerial filming service.

Visual effects is one of the most interesting aspects of what we do at BRADLEY.TV. We love nothing more than being presented with a problem that requires a unique production or post-production solution. One such project was the horse racing GAME ON sting for Ladbrokes. In summary, we needed to find a way of filming a thoroughbred race horse racing at full speed [30 mph +] and head on. It didn’t take us long to work out that our green screen studio in Leeds wouldn’t be big enough so we also needed to find a way of removing the animal from the background and superimpose it back into the commercial.

We considered several options including a high speed drone, filming from our Landcover Discovery, rigging a camera on a zip wire and even getting one of our cameraman to ride backwards on another horse. That was stupidest suggestion. In the end we realised there was only one way to do this. We used a powerful quad bike with a driver and cameraman riding back-to-back. The quad was equipped with a special stabilising gyro system that kept the camera as balanced as humanly possible as we raced across the grass surface. The footage was shot in a very high frame rate on 4K HD camera so when it came to the visual effects aspect of the work in post production we stood the very best chance possible of removing the horse accurately from its surroundings.

VISUAL EFFECTS

BRIEF
BRADLEY.TV were recently commissioned to produce a suite of branded animations for Ladbrokes that brought their new brand to life on-screen. We then deployed it on TV networks and in 2,400 shops across the UK.

CREATIVE
Ladbrokes chose the following categories; Generic, football, horse racing, casino and tennis. The animations needed to be consistent in look and feel but completely different in terms of content. We advised on using a combination of real life video footage with motion graphics and special effects.

SOLUTION
We filmed all the sequences in our green screen studio apart from the horse! That was a bit trickier and involved us shooting at speed on the back of a specialist vehicle whilst a professional race horse and jockey raced towards us at 30mph!

RESULT
The work was completed in two weeks from commission to broadcast. The Football version was used as promotional bumpers on ITV for the 2012 Euro Championships in Poland whenever England played. The tennis versions were used to promote Wimbledon and the horse racing versions were used to promote all major meetings in the UK.

REACTION
Simon Edwards, Head of Campaigns said “Thrilled with the results and a big thank you to everyone at BRADLEY.TV too. The project represented real value for money and we are using the work extensively across all platforms. Can’t reccommend BRADLEY.TV highly enough!”

FILMING LOCATIONS

We recently secured filming rights at the top of The Shard for our client Pace Technology.

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN WE ARE SCOUTING YOUR NEXT FILMING LOCATIONS IN THE UK?

When we are considering your next filming locations in the UK there are many things we take into consideration. These include background noise, high traffic, pedestrian presence, changing weather, transport [and kit] access, low lighting, echoing sound, areas that are hard to be unobtrusive, poor audio, large spaces, hard to get close to action points, wind noise, salt air, sand contamination, direct sunlight and crowd noise. Remember many locations will charge filming fees and sometimes ongoing usage rights. Our location scouts take care of all this for you and always negotiate the best possible deal. It’s not just filming locations UK we take care of… we have sourced and filmed many international locations for clients including Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Brazil, United States, Thailand, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bali, and sunny Dublin!

Have you got access to filming locations in the UK that would be suitable for filming purposes? Let us know and we could add you to our database.

WHY USE A FOREIGN LANGUAGE VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICE?

If your business trades internationally then foreign language video production and native versioning of your content is essential. BRADLEY.TV can produce your video in a wide variety of languages so that you can target existing and new audiences overseas. We have a wealth of experience in producing films in multiple foreign languages using native voiceovers and / or subtitles.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE VIDEO PRODUCTION

BRADLEY.TV offers a comprehensive foreign language video production service that includes interpretation, transcription and translation, voice over, dubbing and local actors and presenters. We are able to produce accurate scripts within tight timeframes by using academically trained native speakers. This unique offering ensures we avoid any embarrassing mistakes or the core message being lost. Scroll down the page to check out the recent Foreign Language Video translations we undertook for BP. Versions were produced in Italian, Spanish, Greek and German.

CAN’T WE JUST USE GOOGLE TRANSLATE?

In a word, NO! Don’t even think about it! Over the years there has been many examples of inaccurate translations leading to huge embarrassment for brands who try to do this themselves. Sometimes the translation might be technically accurate but unless there is a deep understanding of your objectives and the nuances behind the message you are trying to deliver then your project is doomed to failure. What is funny to an american may be deeply upsetting to a Brazilian. An exciting call to action in French may put customers off in Cuba. Often the emotions are lost and your well intended joke actually ends up with you. So, the moral of the story is simple; Use a professional foreign language video production service like ours; It will save you time, money and embarrassment!

BRADLEY.TV brings broadcast quality charity video production to the charitable sector in the UK and beyond. We have raised the profile of many organisations and has successfully developed a professional and distinctive strand of filmmaking for various charitable projects both in the UK and Internationally. We have worked with many charities including Cancer Research UK and The Bobby Moore Fund to name a few.

DO WE PRODUCE VIDEOS FOR FREE?

In a word, NO. We are a commercial enterprise. Please do not contact us for free services.

DO WE OFFER DISCOUNTS TO CHARITIES?

In a word, YES. We have a simple formula for working with charities that has served us well over the years. There are two proven options;

The first option is always the best; Tell us your budget and objectives for the project. We will look at both things carefully and advise you on the best way to maximise the impact on your audience and the return on your investment. This will include a 15% discount on all of our production services. The discount is not applicable for talent or hard costs where we are buying or hiring in an item or service.

The second option also works but it’s never quite as quick and clean as the first; If you do not have [or know] what your budget is then we will consider your brief and produce a quote based on our RATE-CARD. We will then offer discounts against it where we can. You will get the same result as the first option but there is likely to be a song-and-dance internally and externally and often valuable time and momentum is lost.

To put this into perspective 77% of charity video production uk projects that come to us with a brief and budget in hand go-ahead. Conversely 82% of charitable video production projects that come to us without a budget or brief never see the light of day. I guess this is a polite way of saying please don’t waste our time as we really wouldn’t ever want to waste yours!
