It’s unusual that BRADLEY.TV pitch for work these days but we made an exception with this awesome project! Towards the end of 2015 we were approached by the national PR agency, JAYWING, to help them produce an online sales commercial for their client Mobiles.co.uk. We pitched our SALES CLUB idea to both parties and it won the contract on the spot. Timing was critical as we approached the client’s peak sales season. This runs from ‘Black Friday’ to New Years Sales. We had to move fast and produce the commercial in a tight timeframe. The video also had to a have viral capability and the client has a strong presence across all social media channels. They wanted something different, memorable with a humorous twist. We took the classic Henry Van Dyke quote “It’s not the gift, but the thought that counts”, mashed it with his son in a Fight Club parody sequence and tossed in a famous vertically challenged actor for good measure.

We wrote the initial script in a day and then handed it over to be thrashed about by the client and their agency. The locations were recce’d and chosen the next day. By day three we were casting. Props, wardrobe, styling and digital assets fell into place and that weekend we began shooting in both Manchester and Leeds. Within 24 hours we had assembled the 15-person cast, a 20-person BRADLEY.TV production team and our three HD film crews and were rolling and work on the Mobiles.co.uk commercial was underway.

The advert fronted Mobiles.co.uk’s Christmas campaign and went live, perfectly timed for the November sales. It received in excess of a million views in the early stages of the campaign across all social media platforms and was picked up by all trade press, which pleased the client. Our client was very happy with the quality, creative and the turnaround on such a critical campaign. They said “”The timelines were a lot tighter than we’re used to working with, but BRADLEY.TV did a fantastic job to deliver it in time. The overall picture of the campaign shows that the video was a major factor in helping our sales grow during this critical part of the year.”
