Typhoo have been flying the flag for Great British Tea since 1903. They know how much we, as a nation, enjoy a cuppa, so when it comes to taste they are proud to be one of Britain’s best loved brands.
Typhoo commissioned us to produce two versions of two adverts that would promote their brand to a specific television audience demographic.
We presented a suite of ideas to the board of this iconic British brand and they chose the ‘Sign Language’ concept. We spotted that by using your hands you could make a letter ‘T’ and take ownership of what is rapidly becoming a universal symbol for both ‘Time Out’ and now ‘Cup of Tea?’. We licensed a Girls Aloud single from Universal Music as the finishing touch.
Our client asked us to include their existing brand ambassador, Ben Fogle, and his wife. Ben might not be everybody’s cup of tea but he was perfect for the target audience. We put forward the ‘Garden’ treatment and the client added their own idea, ‘Treadmill’. The advert was shot in two days in Yorkshire at a private residence we hired.
Our campaign boosted sales dramatically and our client was extremely happy with the results. Typhoo CEO, Keith Packer commented “Thank you to Nick, Paul, Kelly and all the crew at BRADLEY.TV for providing us with such a great service. We were thrilled with the outcome and hope to be working with you all again soon.”
Special thanks to Keith Packer and the owners of Ackworth Old Hall, Pontefract.
